As some of you may have read, I've been working on a few preset maps lately. All of the multiplayer arenas have been covered, as well as the Facility. GE Master and I have been discussing the best way to impliment this on his website. For now, I thought I'd treat everyone to a preview of what is to come. The following codes will allow you to modify the Complex, customizing it the way you'd like. This is only basic, but hopefully you'll get some enjoyment out of it. Here are the codes you need to get started...

Make sure you post your codes when you're finished, KC. Wink

At first I was only going to be putting out the modifiers for items and props, but later thought that the customization should be taken even further. So, I included a few extras to push the boundaries a bit.

Stage Scale & Visibility: these allow you to change the overall size of the map, as well as how far you can see at any given time. Scale is how big or small the actual stage is. The default size of Complex is '3F71 5F16'. If you make the value less than that amount, you'll increase its size. Should you choose a value higher than that, the stage will become smaller. Try keeping it between '3D00 0000' & '3F90 0000'. The larger your environment, the longer it'll take you to navigate through it. You may need to use the Turbo Mode cheat option to make things easier. Visibility is fog control. You can have a lot of it, or none at all. '3F80 0000' is the standard, which is used by the majority of levels. The lower you go, the further you'll be able to see. The higher you go, the more fog there is. I'd suggest keeping it in the range of '3C00 0000' & '41C0 0000'. Those are just the minimum and maximum reccomendations, I wouldn't actually use either one. Stick to around '3F00 0000' and '4020 0000' for the best results. But remember, the larger your stage is, the better your visibility will need to be, too.

Music Track: normally the Complex plays a random song chosen out of a list. With this code, you can pick any track in the game to battle it out to. The songs range from '00' to '41'. If you like the Aztec music, you can use either '19' for the regular song, or '2E' for the launch sequence countdown. You may want to experiment to see what suits it best.

Weather: to top it all off, you can really set the mood by modifying the weather in the Complex. By setting the different levels of colour (RGB), you'll be able to give a distinct look and feel to the stage. Colours range between '00' for none, and 'FF' for full. If all colours are set to none, you'll have a black sky. Set them to full, it'll be white. It's exactly like HTML colouring. It's easy to get the hang of, so don't worry. You'll also be able to decide whether or not you want clouds, as well as their size and colour. Select '00' for no clouds, or '01' to have them. Size can range between '4400 0000' & '4700 0000'. The lower the value, the bigger the clouds. The higher, the smaller. Colouring works differently for clouds, but still uses the RGB system. '4000' is the absence of colour, so use it on the colours you don't want present. The highest you should go is '437F', for approximately full colour before problems occur. Experimentation is the best route to take when it comes to this.

And there you have it!
If I can think up anymore Complex modifiers, I'll be sure to post them. Smile

Aww, no type change for KC. Sad I have been playing around with bits and pieces of this all while watching Rambo last night Cool , I love it, lol.
I have played around with the level size, repawns positions, and of course trying desperatley to change the type of something to a crate or something, which never works. I need to figure out that Stack setup, lol. But I did manage to do one thing exremely gratifyingly wierd with the objects without crashing my Project64, modding images! To clear this up for those who dont know, Images are actually more like models used, like 0005 is an ammo crate. I just noticed some are missing (obviosly 05), anybody have a full list?

I also have some questions, Is it possible to create more coordinates on the map, Or can you only place things where other objects have gone before, or is it just a pain to place new coordinates?

And Pick-Up, that modifies the message said when picked up, right? Why is there no Pick-Up modifyers for ammo boxes, or is that something different?

And lastly, when you actually release all of these plus tutorial, will you include all the modifyers? lol, I dont have very many. And again, Awesome Work, im certainly having fun with it, Laughing

Thanks for the kind words, guys.
And an extra kudos to Shadow for posting the full image list. Wink

I'll be adding more information later on, when more stages have been hacked and a section for it on the site has been created. Until then, let me answer some of your questions...

I didn't give out any of the types because they don't always work with every image. The basic type for most regular objects is '03'. So, if you were to change the body armour type from '15' to '03', then the image from '0073' to '0033', you'll end up with a metal crate. You can place it using any of the presets on the map. There are a few unused ones, meaning that you have some options. You may or may not have some clipping issues with the object, since you can normally walk over the armour. I'd have to take a gander and figure it out.

You can't "add" a new preset, no.
However, you can modify one. I'll try and cover this for everyone, too.

The pick-ups are the items you procure when you acquire the weapon. This only works for the Flag, Guns and Body Armour. I didn't include it with the armour, yet. It takes an extra line of code for it, but it is rather easy. Ammo crates work differently. There is no specific item ID, rather there are all of the ammo types. The specific type for that weapon is used, while the rest remain blank. You could pick up one ammo crate and gain ammunition for every item in the game. It's only necessary to change this if you've modified the weapon it belongs to.

I'm not sure what you mean by "all the modifiers".
Pretty much everything you've seen here for the Complex will be done for the rest of the multiplayer stages. I'll also include some extras that haven't been shown as of yet. Plus, if I can think of anything else, it'll be added on afterwards. I'm glad this is getting some use! Smile

I wrote that too quick, I didnt mean modifiers, I meant the lists that you modify things to. Like the Image list shadow posted. Types and/or Pick-ups lists and reference stuff like that would be useful if anybody has them.
