I place and size the glass (27 preset) object where I want it in the map. When I test the map it is moved from where it was originally placed. What's the trick to keeping it in place and size?
Also, is there a way to something similar with portals and doors where you can insert the glass and have it automatically size to the portal? |

I think you want to copy from an existing glass from a level. It has weird flags. I'm not 100% sure the placement in editor matches always, may need sadly some trial and error. Not sure if there's a clever way to do any portal trick, I think there is, by maybe converting door to 00 type...it's been a while. |

It should also help to have the ZMin and ZMax at the lowest they can go (not sure if that is 0.000001). If there is any thickness - even if not shown in Visual (as it is a flat object) - it can offset the position in game. You can take a look at some glass in a GE setup (see object bitflags and pad data - mainly sizing and target / up vectors) to see if that helps. I have also encountered this issue in the past, and know how much of a pain it can be. |
